At TEAMS we aim to be innovative in our approach to providing customers with solutions. Below are some examples of our innovation and success.
- A contaminated triple interceptor pit was cause for concern as the final pit flows directly into the local river. Floating booms were placed across the surface resulting in a cost effective alternative to pumping out the pits and paying mostly for water.
- A local confectionery manufacturer uses Bio-Smart absorbents on food spills. These spills are separated from non-edible spills. The edible waste (Organic absorbent & Food spill) is then sold to a piggery at a price that offsets the cost of the absorbent. More importantly, this practice closes the circle and ensures the manufacturer has an environmentally sound way of reducing prescribed waste.
- Proud of their achievements in environmental and emergency management, a local manufacturer has others visiting their site to learn more about ways to manage storm water emissions by installing Drain Wardens and having them regularly serviced by TEAMS.
- To overcome a space issue, we have recently designed and custom-made Vehicle spill kits for local waste management companies. This ensures that they have sufficient amount of absorbent to respond to road spill without compromising staff safety or EPA regulations.
- After recently completing our Spill Kit Induction, a local company greatly reduced the potential magnitude of their spill by applying Plug n Dyke to the surface of a 1000ltr container. The potentially large spill was reduced to a less than 2 ltr spill. Prior to completing the course, employees lacked knowledge of the location and contents of the spill kits.
