Reliability of product supply is only one of the essential services companies look to their suppliers to provide. Our services and management systems ensure that you are showing duty of care. They are not only time saving, but also help you keep to a high environmental standard.

1. Risk Assessment

We have highly qualified specialists to help you in the development of a comprehensive Spill Management Programme and Environmental Management System.

2. Training

Once your site has been assessed and the correct products purchased, training is the next essential item to ensure you are showing "Duty of Care". Unless your staff are aware of location of kits, contents of kits and response procedures, they may fail to act promptly and efficiently thus allowing liquid to escape your site.

Spill Kit Induction

This is the basic course and the most popular. The level and depth of this training is aimed at the general employee. This course will provide the necessary environmental training to address your due diligence requirements. The induction is conducted on your site and with duration of up to 1 hour.

Topics covered include:

  • Environmental Legislation
  • Individual Environmental Duty of Care
  • Absorbent Selection Criteria
  • Seven Steps - Handling a Spill. These include the use of Personal Protection Equipment, the reading of MSDS and spent product disposal.

Trainees complete a questionnaire to demonstrate a transfer of knowledge and will receive a certificate of attendance and achievement.

The objective of this induction program is to develop the skills of the participants to a level of competency in the use of Hydrocarbon and Hazardous Chemical spill kits and absorbents to respond to liquid spills. If you have spill kits on your site and have not had your staff retrained in the last year we advise you to invest in this training.
